Alex Henley is an international touring and recording artist from Austin, Texas who has been playing professionally in Texas since 1995 and has been the front man for several groups, including his own "Alex Henley Band", as well as backing up several other bands and artists with his vocals, guitar and bass. In his formative years Alex spent alot of time in the lives and homes of such legendary musicians as SRV, Blaze Foley, Timbuk 3, and the Go-Go's (all who have Austin ties) thanks to his mother.

Alex has gone on to perform and record a variety of styles of music in his more than a decade of professional musicianship, (blues, rock, folk, country, r&b, jazz, smooth jazz & gospel) and has shared the stage with many local, national and international artists such as Nozoff (france), Jeff Haney (tx), Michael Bliss (ca), Will McGowan (tx), Dahebegebees (tx), Malford Milligan (tx), Tara Graham (tn) and now with Primm in Austin, TX.

Alex's original EP released in 2002 (Alex Henley Band) is a mixture of SRV, Stevie Wonder, & Steely Dan. But his more recent songs have been more heavily influenced by Donny Hathaway, Me'Shell NdegéOcello, Erykah Badu, Prince, and the like... which is what you have to look forward to on his next compilation, which is progress now.
