Well, after a mishap with my Carvin 5 string bass 45 minutes before a show a couple of weeks ago, I was forced to play my 4 string Fender Jazz bass for the night. She's a good bass, but deosn't really fit in to my rig very well any more. The sound is way different... and it only has 4 strings!!

So, with much displeasure I sold her in order to buy another bass that fits my style better. After a lot of searching and a little luck I was able to pay a great price for a Warwick 5 string fretless bass and boy does she sound and look beautiful.

So I just got back from a trip to France where I saw my good friends Yaume, Celine, Oliv', Fredo, Jean-No, Sonya, Myriam and my little French nephew, Tom. I also made some new friends like Christophe and Terry.

The night before I headed back home I played a show in the small town of Allevard, France. It was a really great to play with Nozoff again. We had no rehearsals and it still sounded damn good.

Primm had a great show in San Angelo last Saturday (4/12/08). It was high energy, good crowd, and we sold tons of T's & CD's.

Primm is also going to start recording soon. This will be my first official recording with the band so I'm pretty happy with that. We've decided to record ourselves, rather than hiring it out. I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable at the controls... I think it'll turn out pretty well.

I got a new little combo amp this week. It's a MarkBass / Minimark and it's AMAZING!! The thing weighs about 20 pounds, is ported with two 6" speakers, tweater, and 250 watts! I've never seen something so small pack so much punch. Check it out here:

Ok, so this is going to be a busy few weeks... I'll be in Budapest, Hungary at the end of April, then going to Berlin the beginning of May. Luckily, Cinnamon is joining me in Berlin for a mini vacation and our good friends, Yaume & Celine are meeting us there too! They are our "French Connection" who housed us on our trips to France before. And Yaume is the bassist i got to play with when I toured France last year. I just wish our kids were old enough to go with us and enjoy it. Someday...

Cinnamon and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at the beginning of October with style in Las Vegas. We didn't take a lot of pictures (that we can show =) but there are a few up on the Photos page.

World Travels
I just returned last month from one week in Barcelona and one week in Budapest. In September I'll be in Paris for one week.
