Other body woods, such as swamp ash, walnut, mahogany and koa are offered for their individual tonal qualities. Premium AAAA flamed maple, quilted maple and flamed koa tops are also available.
The LB75 neck is hard rock maple, which is the best wood for stability, longevity and tone. 5-piece necks of various combinations of maple, mahogany, walnut and koa are offered for increased stability, tonal variance and great looks. Carvin bass necks feature a two-way fully adjustable truss rod, allowing the neck to be easily adjusted for optimal action. The LB75 has a 34″ scale ebony fingerboard, with 24 medium-jumbo frets and white dot inlays standard. Other fingerboard woods, such as rosewood, maple and birdseye maple are available, as are mother-of-pearl and genuine abalone inlays in dots or blocks. You can order your LB75 as a fretless, with white inlaid fretlines, or no fretlines, just small position markers on the side of the fingerboard.
